When Do I Get MY Nap, I'd Like to Know?

It is 1:18, the girls went down for nap 15 minutes ago, and Genevieve is currently in her crib screaming, "Mama, I'm all done-a nap!" That's six times in less than two weeks. Shoot me now.

I bet she'll nap great on Saturday when you're out enjoying a movie! :)

I could shoot you, but then you wouldn't get to enjoy her teen years!

PS - I knew a Mom who still insisted on "quiet time" in place of nap time wherein her kids would go to their rooms, and do something very quiet that didn't require her presence. It didn't fly with mine, but yours might be a different story. Also, if I called it "nap club" and lay down WITH her, I could often get Jean to nap during her 3rd year. Of course, then I was also out for an hour but it did the trick!

I'm all about 'quiet time' myself. My son does quiet time while my daughter naps.

I've got no problem with quiet time. It's just that it's not really possible to explain to a 2 year old the concept of "you don't have to sleep, but you need to rest quietly in your bed for the hour or play quietly with books/workbooks/color books during quiet time", nor expect her to developmentally be able to do that, as you can with a 4 or 5 year old. I just find it ironic that it's my 2 year old who is refusing her nap, not the 4 year old, who I COULD do "quiet time" with. ARGH!
