I Get By With a Little Help From My Friends

My sweet writer friend Rob mentions my latest publication--an essay in a local lifestyle magazine--in his blog post today. Rob has been relentless in his support of my writing during the past year, which is pretty nice considering my penchant for using my writing to rant about various petty complaints. Ha. Thank you, Rob!

Can you post (or email) links to your recent publications (in the local paper and the magazine) for those of us who are not in Northfield or MN?

Donna--
I wish I could! The newspaper doesn't happen to include this particular feature (the Mind/Body column(s)) in their online version of the paper. The magazine doesn't have a true online issue--just a scanned page-view version that is not easy to see or use. Boo!

Okay, so I figured out that if, for the Girlfriends magazine, if you click on a picture of the issue, you can 'flip the pages' of the issue and your article is in the beginning).

But what about your column in the local paper? Is that available online?

(And yes, I'm a pain in the ass, but only because I love ya.)

Okay, so our comments were posted simultaneously. Thanks for the response. I'm glad i was able to read the article in the mag, though!

We have a scan of the last newspaper article; I'll try and help S. put it up soon. But frankly, she's well behind on her payments to the IT staff.

If Shan were writing for the brilliant website Northfield.org instead of the washed-up, only-partially-online Northfield News, her columns would be universally available. Witness my personal power over Northfield.org:

Rob goes even more public with his Shannon Tassava fandom (or is it "Shandom"?).

What would I do without Rob? He promotes my work for me.

Yeah, I'm a little frustrated with our hometown paper. Not only are they behind the times, they seem a bit unorganized and are suddenly backpedaling on whether or not they want me to continue writing Mind/Body columns. Get your act together, Northfield News!
